Search Quality Specialist

Job Title:

Quality Specialist - Search (Ecommerce)

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize search engine results and enhance the user experience in ecommerce environments.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive test cases for search functionality to ensure seamless integration across various platforms.
  • Validate data pipelines and integrations between search engines, databases, and associated systems to guarantee accuracy and reliability.
  • Write complex SQL queries to analyze and validate datasets, perform data profiling, and verify ETL jobs.
  • Work closely with development teams to identify and resolve technical issues related to search engine optimization and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong proficiency in SQL, including ability to write complex joins and data validation queries.
  • Experience testing ecommerce search functionality, including relevance tuning, search metrics, and user behavior.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based platforms (e.g., Google Cloud Platform) and tools such as BigQuery, Cloud Storage, and Pub/Sub.
  • Knowledge of QA methodologies, test plans, and defect management tools (e.g., Jira).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and effective communication.
