Job Title: Risk and Control Professional

About the Role:

  • The Financial Control Oversight team reviews and manages Accounting and Financial Reporting Risk within acceptable limits.
  • Ensure appropriate actions are taken to remediate and return to acceptable risk levels.

Responsibilities:

  1. Risk Management Incident reporting - Responsible for incident reporting, including engagement with stakeholders to ensure that write-ups correctly reflect issues and highlight control gaps. Incidents are reported as per policy and also recorded in an incident management system depending on thresholds in a timely manner.
  2. Risk Control Reporting - Establish and implement procedures to monitor, measure, and improve product performance against SOx Control Policies regularly, measuring or receiving output of measurements to demonstrate areas of concern and compliance with standards.
  3. Audit Lifecycle Management - Provide support for internal and external audits to ensure accountability for findings throughout the lifecycle, monitoring and timely escalation of overdue items to senior management.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Approximately 12-15 years of work experience with strong exposure to operational risk in a banking and finance industry.
  • Good understanding of financial reporting and disclosures under IFRS.
  • Strong understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOx) framework, product, and process knowledge, including investment banking products and businesses.
