Project Overview:

Bechtel is seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team in Chennai. As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for planning, interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating engineering assignments and activities on the project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and manage the overall engineering budget, ensuring execution within approved budgets.
  • Manage Engineering Bulk Quantities, including Concrete, Piles, Steel, Pipe, Cable Trays, and Cables.
  • Develop Module Execution Plans, including Work Scope Matrices between Mod Yard, Field, Spool & Steel Fabricator, and Home Office Engineering.
  • Manage Underground Services Design and Execution, including Gravity Systems, Pressurized Piping Systems, and Other Underground Services.
  • Coordinate and manage statutory and company-specific design reviews, ensuring requisite supporting documentation is completed.
  • Establish and manage the project design, engineering scope, and maintain ownership.
  • Plan, forecast, and identify necessary engineering resources to support program workload requirements.
  • Act as the primary interface for Project Engineering Manager for all engineering and personnel matters within the project/program.
  • Provide oversight management of technical documentation to procurement, construction, and third parties.

Requirements:

  • A recognized bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited college or university with over 20 years of working experience.
  • Experience in executing at least one EPC project in a Project Engineer Role, preferably in Metal & Mining Industries.
  • Experience in working in Mining and Metals industry Design, with experience in Lithium Processing facility desirable.
