About the Role:

This is a challenging opportunity for a Java Solutions Architect to join our team at Datamatics Digital. As a key member of our architecture team, you will be responsible for leading and executing on application modernization projects. Your expertise in designing complex enterprise applications using Java versions 6-11 will be instrumental in driving the success of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing and developing solutions for customers using Java and other enterprise-grade solutions.
  • Visualizing and architecting solutions using Java and other enterprise-grade solutions.
  • Transforming application code written in native or legacy programming languages into modern programming languages.
  • Enabling the adaptation of DevOps and DevSecOps tools for applications identified for modernization.
  • Evaluating and assessing new integration capabilities and tools for faster execution of development.
  • Working hands-on for developing reusable models and solutions which can be in future planned as microservices-based architecture.
  • Developing and leveraging modern interfaces using microservices-based architecture and deploying the product to cloud infrastructure.
  • Contributing to roadmaps and defining strategy for enterprise needs, applying system of systems architecture, design, implement, and support software development lifecycle (SDLC) deliverables.
  • Participating in customer calls for understanding the need and proposing solutions for solution improvements.
  • Conducting workshops for internal teams and external (customers) for analysis of technical environments, methodologies, and capabilities.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of end-to-end experience in solution designing and delivering large and complex migration/cloud infrastructure/application development projects.
  • Designing complex enterprise applications using Java versions 6-11.
  • Experience with Spring Boot, Hibernate, J2EE, JDBC Hibernate, RabbitMQ, Groovy, and Grails.
  • Proven experience with Docker/Kubernetes (container experience).
  • Solid experience of working with containerized applications deployed using Docker, Containers, Docker Swarm/Azure Kubernetes Service.
  • Expert-level knowledge and understanding of Oracle and complex PL/SQL.
  • Expertise with OOPs, DDD, TDD, SOA, Microservices.
  • Experience on any of frontend technologies like AngularJS, ReactJS, VueJS.
  • Cloud stack experience with Azure or AWS.
  • Soft skills: capable of designing and developing solutions for customers, ability to communicate software designs to team members, strong attention to detail, and positive attitude.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, self-motivated individual with excellent written and verbal communication skills, and ability to work independently or in a team-oriented environment both efficiently and courteously.
