Job Description

Lead Coalbed Methane Well Planning Specialist

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and executing coalbed methane wells, ensuring technical integrity and regulatory compliance.

  • Develop detailed well designs, including location selection support, casing, cementing, and well trajectory.
  • Prepare drilling and completion Authorization for Expenditure (AFE) and monitor actual vs budget.
  • Collaborate with subsurface teams for well targeting and zonal optimization.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of CBM reservoir behavior and gas production mechanisms.
  • Proficiency in well design software (Landmark, WellPlan, Compass, StressCheck, etc.).
  • Budgeting and AFE preparation skills.
