Senior Tax Compliance Specialist

This role involves researching tax laws and regulations to ensure our products comply with various jurisdictional requirements. The ideal candidate will have expertise in excise taxes, sales and use taxes, tobacco taxes, and motor fuel taxes.
- Research and analyze tax laws, regulations, and court decisions to identify compliance gaps and opportunities for improvement
- Develop and implement strategies to maintain compliance with tax laws and regulations
- Collaborate with colleagues to review and validate research findings
- Communicate complex tax information to stakeholders through concise reports and presentations
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, law, economics, or a related field
- JD/LLM or CPA/Chartered Accountant designation
- At least 4 years of experience in research and analysis, preferably in multiple areas of tax
- Indirect tax research, consulting, or advisory experience in the United States
- Excellent research skills, including the ability to locate, understand, and explain complex tax requirements and scenarios
- Knowledge of database management systems and SQL query writing
