Embedded Systems Engineer

Overview:

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing embedded systems from feasibility prototype to mass production.

This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams, including software and mechanical engineers, to ensure cohesive project execution.

  • Responsibilities:
  1. Design and develop embedded systems, including hardware and software components.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  3. Perform circuit simulations, PCB design and layout reviews, and prepare detailed design documentation.
  4. Contribute to the integration of various hardware sub-systems of the product, including cables and connectors, into the mechanical assembly.
  5. Identify technical risks in the design and propose mitigation strategies.
  6. Plan and perform hands-on testing at circuit level/module level/product level to evaluate circuit and system performance.
  • Requirements:
  1. Be/ Btech / ME / Mtech in Electrical/Electronics/Biomedical/Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent.
  2. 5-8 years of experience in embedded hardware development.
  • Technical Competencies:
  1. End-to-end experience in New Product Development – from feasibility prototype to mass production.
  2. Strong expertise in STM32 microcontroller architecture, peripheral configuration, and application integration.
  3. Proficient in digital communication interfaces: SPI, I2C, RS-485, UART.
  4. Skilled in analog circuit design using op-amps (comparators, filters), interfacing with ADC/DAC.
  5. Practical knowledge of DC-DC power supply design (buck converters), power sequencing, protection circuits (e.g.: over-voltage, under-voltage, short-circuit) and thermal design.
  6. Sound understanding of PCB layout techniques for signal integrity, high-speed routing, and EMI reduction techniques.
  7. Experience in system-level integration and HW-SW integration.
  8. Skilled in multi-board architecture and signal/power distribution.
  9. Familiar with mechanical-electrical integration and cable harness design.

Additional Information:

Understanding and working knowledge of medical standards IEC is an added advantage. Awareness of EMI/EMC tests and design for compliance is also beneficial. Familiarity with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, DMMs, power supplies, signal generators, LCR meters, electronic loads is essential.
