Database Infrastructure Manager Job

This is a challenging role for an experienced Database Administrator.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Database Administration
    • Perform advanced MySQL administration: installation, configuration, upgrades, replication setup/monitoring, and user management.
    • Monitor database health, troubleshoot metadata locks, slow queries, replication lag, and optimize performance using various tools and techniques.
  • Linux Server Management
    • Manage Linux servers: user management, process monitoring, cron jobs, package updates, and system resource checks to ensure optimal server performance.
  • Backup and Recovery
    • Implement and monitor backup and recovery processes using robust tools like mysqldump or Percona XtraBackup.
  • Patching and Security
    • Perform routine patching, upgrades, and security hardening for MySQL and Linux environments to prevent vulnerabilities and data breaches.
  • Troubleshooting and Support
    • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues; escalate to senior engineers with detailed RCA inputs.
  • DR Drills and Audits
    • Participate in disaster recovery drills, capacity planning, and system audits to ensure business continuity.
  • Documentation
    • Create and maintain comprehensive runbooks, SOPs, and knowledge base documentation for future reference.
Requirements:
  1. Proven expertise in MySQL administration and Linux server management.
  2. Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  3. Familiarity with backup and recovery processes.
  4. Knowledge of security best practices and compliance regulations.
