Job Title: Manufacturing Excellence

Role Description:

  • To identify and deliver service improvement activities across the business by employing process improvement methodologies and innovative thinking.
  • Work with key business stakeholders and the Centre of Excellence to build a continuous improvement environment supporting manufacturing transformation.
  • Support better value and efficiency through complexity elimination and identification of better working practices.
  • Assist in developing and implementing a best-in-class continuous improvement strategy.
  • Own change initiatives from evolution/efficiency identification through to project delivery via internal governance and controls.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement a standard world-class manufacturing framework across pan-India plants.
  • Collaborate with other team members and business services departments to devise new support materials based on revised processes.
  • Monitor project risks to foresee potential problems and proactively identify solutions.
  • Ensure business impact and project objectives are identified, reported on, and managed at all times.
  • Set up programs, deliver coaching, and run projects across plants.
  • Complete post-implementation reviews to ensure successful delivery and improvements for future projects.
  • Improve efficiency KPIs in manufacturing sites.
  • Implement lean methods to increase efficiency, throughput, and operational excellence.
  • Take ownership of change initiatives from evolution/efficiency identification through to project delivery via internal governance and controls.
  • Support plant teams in benchmarking, problem-solving, and continuous improvement programs.
  • Support operations in policy deployment, cascading KPIs and KRAs at all business levels.
  • Conduct risk assessments of processes and tasks in the department.
  • Ensure ongoing learning and development of employees in Lean improvement tools and communication methods.
  • Coach and facilitate teams and individuals to identify and implement improvement opportunities.
  • Manage cross-functional team members.
  • Communicate professionally with diverse groups of partners, senior managers, and subject matter experts.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Good honors degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Excellent understanding of continuous improvement concepts including Six Sigma, Lean, and value stream mapping.
  • Strong analytical, project, and product management skills.
  • Ability to set up, facilitate, and lead service improvement workshops with business stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Project, Visio, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in designing or implementing a framework of continuous improvement.
  • Experience in hands-on implementation of continuous improvement programs and Lean solutions.
