Job Title: Solar Project Manager - Design and Engineering

Overview:

As a senior professional in the field of solar energy, this role involves leading a team of engineers and designers in the creation and implementation of solar projects.

The successful candidate will oversee the entire design process for solar PV power plants, coordinating with project managers, site engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that projects meet technical specifications, are cost-effective, and adhere to industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Oversee the entire design process for solar PV power plants. Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project success.
  • Design and Compliance: Develop and review design plans, specifications, and construction documents to ensure compliance with local, national, and international codes and standards.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with clients, contractors, and suppliers to define project requirements, present design solutions and progress updates, and address any concerns or feedback.
  • Technical Expertise: Stay updated with the latest innovations and technology trends in solar PV design, conduct feasibility studies and technical analysis, and implement best practices and industry advancements.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement and monitor quality assurance processes, conduct design audits and reviews to ensure adherence to standards, and collaborate with quality control teams to resolve design-related issues during project implementation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in solar PV design and project management of single plants of 100 MWp and higher.
  • Proficiency in design software and tools such as AutoCAD, PVSyst, Sketchup, and Helioscope.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
