Integration Engineer Position

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Integration Engineer to join our AI Solutions Delivery team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 Application Integration Framework (AIF) and a proven track record of delivering enterprise integrations.

The successful candidate will design, develop, and implement AIF-based integrations between AX 2009 and external systems, ensuring seamless integrations between our platform, customer ERP systems, and third-party applications.

This role involves collaborating with Solution Architects to translate requirements into integration specs, leading technical workshops with customer teams, and working directly with customers during implementation and go-live.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for developing and executing test cases, conducting unit, integration, UAT, and performance testing, and validating data integrity and accuracy.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and implement AIF-based integrations between AX 2009 and external systems
  • Configure and customize AIF document services and build custom services when needed
  • Implement both synchronous and asynchronous integration patterns
  • Create transformation pipelines for complex data mapping and logic
  • Optimize integration performance
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Core AX/AIF Expertise:
  • 3+ years of hands-on AX 2009 AIF development/configuration
  • Strong understanding of AIF service layer and transformation pipelines
  • Proficiency in X++ customizations
  • Experience with synchronous and asynchronous integrations
  • Knowledge of AX security and RBAC
  • Integration Technologies:
  • Web Services: SOAP, REST, WCF, XML, XSD, WSDL
  • Protocols: HTTP/HTTPS, FTP/SFTP, MSMQ
  • Tools: SoapUI, Postman, Fiddler, Visual Studio
  • Scripting: PowerShell, C#/.NET
  • Development and Data Management:
  • Strong SQL and query optimization
  • Experience with ETL concepts, data mapping, cleansing, and transformation
  • Familiarity with enterprise integration patterns (EIP)
  • Batch processing and job scheduling
