We are seeking a skilled and proactive Environmental Operations Manager to lead the efficient functioning of our state-of-the-art laboratories at Alt Carbon, India's leading Carbon Removal (CDR) company.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will ensure timely and accurate sample preparation and analysis in compliance with registry guidelines. Using cutting-edge equipment like ICP-OES, ICP-MS, IR-MS, and HR-MS, you will maintain operational excellence and drive impactful climate action research.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the lab.
  • Analyse samples on ICP-OES and HR-ICMS.
  • Maintain a record of inventory and order supplies such as lab consumables and other necessary materials for the lab works.
  • Ensure all lab equipment is functioning properly and coordinate repairs as necessary.
  • Supervise the preparation and processing of samples, ensuring adherence to international standards.
  • Assist with the onboarding and training of new lab members.
  • Maintain lab guidelines, SOPs and safety protocols in compliance with all regulations.
  • Coordinate with field teams to facilitate sample processing and data recording.
  • Liaise with external vendors and technical support for equipment maintenance.
  • Report regularly to senior management regarding lab status and needs.

About Alt Carbon

We blend science, technology & tradition to undertake climate action to turn the clock on historic emissions in the atmosphere. Our science and technology takes place in Bangalore; our operations are undertaken in Darjeeling's heritage tea estates.

Salary Range:

Rupees 8 lakh to 10 lakh per annum based on experience.
