Job Description

This position involves leading a team of developers within Apps and Software as a Team Lead. Your mission is to oversee the Digital Workplace team at GECIA in delivering projects and solutions related to SharePoint and Power platform development. You will also lead the team in implementing best practices for application development at the Global Engineering Centre of Atlas Copco, aiming to become and remain the preferred partner for the digitalization journey of our stakeholders.

To achieve this, you will drive innovation and adoption of emerging technologies, develop talent, and strive for operational excellence.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Customer Focus
    • Enhance customer satisfaction levels by cultivating a customer-centric culture.
    • Prompt and proactive communication with all stakeholders.
    • Develop and implement effective governance mechanisms to ensure project tracking, progress updates, and business engagement monitoring.
    • Create and maintain dashboards and key performance indicators (KPIs) to control, monitor, and improve quality, delivery, and cost parameters.
    • Ensure dedicated resources/team availability for customers.
    • Develop and coach team members on technical aspects and competence for effective communication with customers as the first point of contact from GECIA for Apps and Software-related services and support.

    • Mentor and coach team members.
    • Provide technical leadership during project delivery.
    • Map team members' competence and skill sets.
    • Identify and execute training plans for each team member.
    • Conduct talent reviews and create plans for everyone.

    • Develop subject matter experts in various technology stacks related to Apps and Software, establishing GECIA as a competence center.
    • Help team members identify their purpose.
    • Encourage strong employee engagement.
  • Innovation Focus
    • Be a front runner in implementing best practices for development within the team, staying up-to-date on industry trends, competitive landscapes, and driving innovation in related areas to stay ahead.
    • Propose plans to bridge competency gaps and oversee the implementation of technology solutions throughout the organization.
  • Operational Excellence
    • Act as a Scrum Master to drive the team through project execution.
    • Have an excellent understanding of Agile methodology and its ceremonies. A Scrum certification is desirable.
    • Act as a Business Analyst to comprehend customer requirements, provide viable and sustainable solutions.
    • Create, develop, and maintain a resource planning mechanism for optimal resource utilization.
    • Bring transparency to resource planning, indicating resource occupancy on different projects and identifying potential bottlenecks.
    • Identify and plan resources and infrastructure needs required for successful project deliveries.
    • Develop and refine solution offerings, requirements definition, and estimation processes for effective delivery engagement and achieving sales and revenue targets.
    • Identify and implement process improvements related to project management, client interactions, etc., to achieve business goals.
    • Effectively lead the team to ensure high project billability, profitability, and revenue realization with a focus on quality delivery.
    Requirements
    • A Computer Science Engineering qualification (B.E. or B.Tech or M.Tech) from a reputable university.
    • 8+ years of experience in SharePoint and Power platform development, with a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in people/team management.
    • Excellent team management and leadership skills.
    • Ability to drive technical excellence, pushing innovation and quality.
    • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
    • Strategic thinking with a focus on business outcomes.
    • Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams and following Agile processes.
    • Analytical thinking and problem-solving aptitude.
    Technical Skills:
    • Design and develop custom SharePoint Online solutions, including sites, lists, libraries, workflows, forms, and applications.
    • Customize SharePoint Online features and functionalities using JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, CSS, and other web technologies.
    • Develop and configure Azure services to support back-end processes and data storage requirements.
    • Ensure seamless integration between SharePoint Online and Azure services, adhering to best practices for security, scalability, and performance.
    • Utilize .NET C# for backend development tasks, including building RESTful APIs, handling data processing tasks, and integrating with existing systems.
    • Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and maintenance for existing SharePoint Online solutions.
    • Proficiency in SharePoint Online development tools and technologies, including SharePoint Framework (SPFx), TypeScript, React, and PnP PowerShell.
    • Strong understanding of SharePoint Online architecture, administration, and security.
    • Knowledge of Azure fundamentals and pipeline.
    • Develop, test, and implement robust solutions within the Power Platform.
    • Power Apps Development: Proficiency in building custom applications using Power Apps, understanding canvas apps, model-driven apps, and incorporating connectors for various data sources such as SharePoint, Dataverse, SQL Server, Blob Storage, etc.
    • Power Automate (Flow) Mastery: Strong skills in creating automated workflows using Power Automate, integrating applications, and automating business processes.
    Compensation Package
