Strategic Data Platform Leader

We are seeking a visionary Engineering Manager to provide technical direction for a scalable data platform in clinical oncology or the healthcare domain, leveraging a tech stack encompassing AWS, Python, Terraform, and AI-related technologies.

A strong combination of technical expertise in areas like data architecture, ETL, cloud platforms, and big data technologies is essential, alongside crucial soft skills such as leadership, communication, problem-solving, business acumen, and project management.

The manager will be responsible for overseeing the design and maintenance of data systems, managing and mentoring a team, and aligning technical solutions with business objectives.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Data Architecture & Modelling: Design and oversee scalable data models, warehouses, and lakes to ensure seamless data integration and analysis.
  • Programming Languages: Proficiency in languages like Python, SQL, and Scala for efficient data processing and pipeline development.
  • Databases: Deep understanding of SQL, NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB), and relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL) to support diverse data storage needs.
  • Cloud Platforms: Expertise in cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP to optimize data scalability and reliability.
  • Big Data Technologies: Experience with tools like Spark, Kafka, Hadoop, and Snowflake to facilitate efficient data processing and analytics.
  • CI/CD & Automation: Familiarity with DevOps practices for streamlined deployment and management of data systems.
