API Development Lead

This position is responsible for leading and mentoring a team of API developers to create high-performance, scalable APIs that align with business objectives.

  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Golang, MongoDB, and Agile methodologies, as well as excellent leadership abilities.
  • They will be responsible for driving our API initiatives, ensuring seamless integration with various services, and delivering projects efficiently.
  • Lead and mentor a team of API developers and engineers, utilizing MongoDB for data storage and implementing Agile processes within the team.
  • Collaborate with product managers, front-end developers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure the API strategy aligns with business goals.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to keep the API ecosystem modern and efficient.
  • Manage project timelines, deliverables, and resources efficiently, having ability to understand and analyze business requirements by interacting with relevant stakeholders.
  • Having experience in developing efficient software design by applying design principles, ability to write automated unit tests and integration tests for the implemented features.
  • Ensure conformance to quality processes to help project meet quality goals, ability to effectively investigate reported software defects and debugging skills.
  • Proactive interaction with product owner and architects for technical clarifications and presentations, having experience with AWS is required.
  • Requirements:
    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
    • Minimum 3+ years of experience in API development with expertise in Golang and MongoDB.
    • Strong understanding of RESTful and GraphQL API design principles.
    • Proven experience in implementing and managing Agile methodologies.
    • Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
    • Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
    • Knowledge of database systems (SQL and NoSQL) and their integration with APIs.
