Snowflake Data Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled data expert with hands-on experience in Snowflake and proven expertise in the BFSI domain.

The ideal candidate will design, develop, and optimize scalable data pipelines, data models, and analytics solutions on Snowflake, ensuring compliance, security, and performance to meet regulatory and business needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Data Architecture: Design and implement Snowflake data warehouses, schemas, and data-sharing solutions.
  • Performance Tuning and Cost Optimization: Define and implement best practices around performance tuning, cost optimization, and data governance.
  • Data Modeling: Create scalable data models supporting BFSI use cases (e.g., regulatory reporting, fraud detection, risk analytics).
  • ELT Workflows: Build, schedule, and monitor complex data pipelines using Matillion.
  • Error Handling and Recovery: Implement robust error handling, logging, and recovery mechanisms.
  • Advanced Skills: Understanding of Maia, ability to translate banking data requirements into scalable Snowflake solutions, and proficiency in working with structured/unstructured data like core banking systems, payments, credit risk, AML/KYC, collections.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Minimum 8 years of experience with over 6 years hands-on experience with Snowflake (data modeling, performance tuning, secure data sharing, resource monitors, streams & tasks).
  • Matillion ETL Development: Advanced Matillion ETL development (or similar cloud-native ETL tools).
  • Cloud Services: Proficiency in SQL, Python, and cloud services (AWS/GCP/Azure).
  • CI/CD Pipelines: Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, DevOps integration for data workflows.
  • Financial Data Models: Deep understanding of financial data models (customer 360, payments, credit/debit, claims, risk, fraud).
  • BFSI Regulations: Exposure to BFSI regulations & compliance in data handling and reporting.
  • Analytics Delivery: Experience delivering analytics for fraud detection, credit risk scoring, AML/KYC.
