Senior Backend Engineer PositionWe are seeking a skilled backend software developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of distributed systems, asynchronous communication, and event orchestration without central control.
  • Design and develop scalable, efficient, and reliable backend services using Python and GCP SDKs.
  • Implement event-driven architecture choreography patterns for real-time data processing and analytics.
  • Work with RPC-style APIs under the hood, utilizing Google Cloud Platform services such as PubSub, Dataflow, Cloud Functions, and Cloud Run.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, evolve, and validate event schemas using Avro and other serialization formats like ProtobufJSON.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 5+ years of experience in backend software development, preferably with a focus on distributed systems and event-driven architectures.
  • Strong proficiency in Python programming language and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services.
  • Familiarity with schema design, serialization formats (Avro, ProtobufJSON), and event orchestration.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
