Job Title: Senior UI Designer with JavaScript and Angular Expertise

Luxoft is seeking a highly skilled Senior UI Designer to join our team as a key member of the telecom test solution engineering team. The successful candidate will work closely with our clients to design and develop innovative UI solutions for our products.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the development life cycle for new features, from specification writing to design, implementation, and testing.
  • Deliver new features to the product from design through to development and testing, prototyping where necessary.
  • Ensure the product's quality and performance based on automated tests integrated within a Continuous Integration system.
  • Find and alleviate architectural bottlenecks, providing solutions that truly help our customers achieve their goals.
  • Exposure of our product's features and capabilities through a configuration and management interface that is truly useful for the customer.
  • Making our solution smarter, easier to integrate, and more able to diagnose issues and provide insightful and practical tips to our customers.
  • Working effectively with the Test & Verification team to resolve issues.

Mandatory Skills:

  • 2-4 years of professional experience in UI design or related roles; ideally a strong portfolio showcasing a range of UI design projects, including examples of user-centered design processes.
  • Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma.
  • Experience in creating wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes.
  • Understanding of UI frameworks like Material Design, Bootstrap, etc.
  • Good knowledge of JavaScript (3+ years), HTML5, CSS3.
  • Ability to maintain design consistency and adhere to branding guidelines across different platforms.
  • Familiarity with UX design principles and processes.
  • Good understanding of the responsive design approach.
  • Familiarity with working in agile development environments.
  • Good spoken and written English.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Usability Testing: Experience with usability testing and gathering user feedback to improve designs.
  • User Research: Basic understanding of user research methods and the ability to integrate insights into the design process.
  • Animation and Microinteractions: Knowledge of creating animations and micro-interactions to enhance user experience.
  • Design Systems: Experience in building or working within a design system.
  • Good understanding of OOP JS, Ajax, and software design patterns.
  • Good knowledge of modern Angular (e.g. v14+) technology for project.
  • Good knowledge of Bootstrap 3+ and LESS.
  • Minimal level of experience with data streaming in front-end which implies async programming - we will consider any similar technology such as WebSockets, gRPC, RX/JS; use of charting libraries such as HighCharts, AmChart or similar.
  • Strong knowledge of Single Page Applications (2+ years) over REST.

  • Experience and knowledge of networking or telecom domain solutions.
