Placement Manager Job Description

We have been providing education in media and arts for three decades. The institute offers 50+ professional courses in various fields, including cinema, journalism, mass communication, performing arts, animation, hospitality and tourism, still photography, advertising, PR and events, and fashion design.

The Placement Manager plays a crucial role in securing new clients for our student placements and internships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a robust campus recruitment strategy to achieve successful career outcomes for graduating students.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with connections in the Media & Journalism industry.
  • Achieve individual targets assigned for the recruitment process, summer internships, and live projects.
  • Support other team members as needed.
  • Convert new accounts through structured market outreach.
  • Plan and engage with corporates for strategic activities, including guest lectures, panel discussions, conclaves, workshops, competitions, etc.
  • Manage and support student career services, including career counselling, grooming, and helping students prepare for interviews.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders, including Alumni, Faculty, Administration, Marketing & Admissions teams, to achieve both career services and larger institutional objectives.
  • Well networked in the corporate HR community.
  • Experience working with senior professionals in HR and functional leaders, having a track record of closing deals.
  • Achieving Placement and Internship targets.
  • Create new placement partner opportunities based on placement load across schools and manage existing partners for repurchase of placements and internships.
  • Student counselling sessions in-house for graduation outcomes.
  • Campus Engagement activities like Guest Lectures, Student Trainings, Conclaves, Workshops, etc.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills
  • High Integrity and Edtech industry preferred
  • Knowledge of Industry demographics an added advantage
