Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to oversee payroll operations.

This role involves ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, compliance with labor laws, and providing support to the HR and Finance departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Payroll Processing & Accuracy:
  • Oversight of the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring timely payment of wages, benefits, and bonuses.
  • Review of payroll calculations, including hours worked, overtime, deductions, and allowances.
  • Monitoring and resolution of any payroll discrepancies or errors.
  1. Compliance & Regulatory Adherence:
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and payroll laws and tax regulations.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws and other payroll-related legislation.
  • Proper filing of payroll tax returns and government reports.
  1. Payroll Reporting & Analytics:
  • Preparation and presentation of accurate payroll reports for management.
  • Analysis of payroll data to assist with decision-making and budgeting.
  • Generation of required statutory reports.
  1. Employee Queries & Resolution:
  • Point of contact for escalated payroll-related issues and queries.
  • Clear and timely responses to employee payroll inquiries.
  1. Payroll Systems & Process Improvement:
  • Collaboration with HRIS and payroll software systems.
  • Identification of opportunities to streamline payroll processes.
  • Coordination with IT to implement system upgrades.
  1. Payroll Audits & Documentation:
  • Assistance with internal and external payroll audits.
  • Maintenance of accurate payroll records and documentation.
  1. Collaboration with Other Departments:
  • Collaboration with HR and Finance to ensure integration of payroll-related data.
  • Support of the Finance team in financial reporting related to payroll costs.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 4-6 years of experience in payroll processing.
  • In-depth knowledge of payroll procedures, taxation, and compliance.
  • Proficiency in payroll software and HRIS systems.
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret payroll data.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Certification in Payroll is a plus.
  • Knowledge of additional software systems such as Microsoft Excel.
