Job Overview:

The Physiotherapy Department Leader will provide academic and administrative leadership to the department, ensuring excellence in teaching, clinical practice, research, and professional development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, implement, and monitor academic programs as per University, UGC, and statutory council norms.
  • Supervise curriculum development, teaching methodologies, and continuous assessment.
  • Guide faculty in research, publications, and participation in academic forums.
  • Ensure effective clinical training and integration with hospital services.

Administrative and Managerial Duties:

  • Oversight of day-to-day administration of the department.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory regulations (UGC, State Council, University guidelines).
  • Recruit, mentor, and evaluate faculty and staff performance.
  • Prepare budgets and manage resources.

Quality Assurance:

  • Maintenance of accreditation standards (NABH, NAAC, etc.).
  • Proper records of academic, clinical, and administrative activities.
  • Facilitation of audits, inspections, and approvals from governing bodies.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Building collaboration with healthcare institutions, universities, and professional bodies.
  • Organizing workshops, CMEs, and conferences to enhance learning exposure.
  • Engagement with parents, students, and alumni to strengthen institutional reputation.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Education: MPT or Ph.D. in Physiotherapy (specialization desirable in Orthopedics, Neurology, or Cardio-respiratory).
  • Experience: Minimum 15 years of teaching/clinical experience, including at least 5 years in a Professor/Head role.
