Job Title: Advanced Email Security Migration Expert

Role Description:

Our organization seeks a seasoned expert to spearhead the migration of our existing Barracuda email security system to Microsoft Defender for Office 365. This involves planning and executing the retirement of our current email security firewall, deploying and configuring Microsoft Defender features, ensuring a seamless transition with minimal disruption to business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute the decommissioning of the Barracuda email security system.
  • Deploy and configure Microsoft Defender for Office 365 features, including anti-phishing, anti-malware, and threat investigation tools.
  • Ensure a smooth transition with minimal business disruption.
  • Document the migration process and provide technical knowledge transfer to internal teams.
  • Collaborate with IT and security teams to align configurations with organizational policies.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to mail flow, filtering, and user access during and after the migration.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience with Barracuda Email Security Gateway and Microsoft Defender for Office 365.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 Exchange Online Protection (EOP).
  • Familiarity with secure email protocols, SPF/DKIM/DMARC, and threat detection tools.
  • Experience managing or supporting email migration projects.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and documentation skills.
