Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive professional to fill the Hedge Fund Analyst role.

  • Daily NAV Calculations: Prepare and review daily Net Asset Value calculations for hedge fund portfolios, ensuring accuracy and adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • P&L Reconciliation: Perform P&L reconciliation between fund administrator reports, internal records, and prime broker statements, identifying discrepancies and implementing corrective measures.
  • Cash Reconciliation: Carry out cash reconciliation across custodians, banks, and internal systems, maintaining financial integrity and control.
  • Discrepancy Investigation: Investigate and resolve discrepancies in positions, pricing, fees, and expenses, applying analytical skills and problem-solving techniques.
  • Month-End Closing: Support month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and accruals, ensuring timely completion and accuracy.
  • Performance Reporting: Assist in performance reporting and investor statements, providing insights into portfolio performance and trends.
  • Trade Settlement: Coordinate with fund administrators, prime brokers, and custodians to ensure accurate trade settlement and reporting, minimizing risks and maximizing returns.
  • Portfolio Validation: Collaborate with portfolio managers and risk teams to validate portfolio data and performance metrics, ensuring alignment with investment objectives.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field, and 2–5 years of experience in fund accounting or hedge fund operations. Strong understanding of financial instruments, proficiency in MS Excel, and knowledge of fund accounting software are essential.

  • Financial Knowledge: In-depth understanding of financial markets, instruments, and regulations.
  • Software Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel and familiarity with fund accounting software.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work accurately under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
