Job Title: Load Upgrade Specialist

This role focuses on simulating the benefits of our upgrade portfolio while verifying the structural integrity of installed wind turbines.

You will be part of a global team and serve as an interface between customers, service regions, and headquarters functions. This position has a direct impact on business success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess existing/planned wind farms using internal tool chains to confirm compatibility of upgrades and turbine-specific structural integrity.
  • Apply mechanical load mitigation strategies and create reports based on site-specific wind conditions.
  • Support upgrades sales by creating benefit calculations, driving validation campaigns, and implementing upgrades.
  • Collaborate with global Service regions and after-sales colleagues to convince customers and stakeholders.
  • Have a measurable impact on the global Service business unit's performance.
  • Stay up-to-date on new technological developments through networking within the company and industry.
  • Represent the team in strategic discussions and development decision meetings.
Career Requirements:
  • Completed university studies in Engineering or Business/Economics with a strong technical background.
  • 5-10 years of experience in wind & site assessments, mechanical loads department, or equal technical service organisations in the wind energy industry.
  • Highly analytical with a holistic approach and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Self-driven, focused, and pragmatic with demonstrated ability to bring topics to success in complex environments.
  • Optional: Knowledge of wind turbine technology, WindPRO, and Python experience.
  • Fluent in English; German would be an advantage.
