Role Summary

Snowflake data engineers play a pivotal role in designing and implementing scalable data architectures that meet the needs of modern businesses.

We are seeking an experienced Snowflake data engineer who can build efficient ETL/ELT pipelines using Snowflake Tasks, Streams, and Stored Procedures. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Snowflake development, including strong SQL and JavaScript skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop Data Models: Create data models with clustering keys and optimize micro-partitioning to ensure optimal query performance.
  • Build ETL Pipelines: Utilize Snowpipe for real-time ingestion and external tables for data lake integration.
  • Develop Stored Procedures: Write complex SQL queries with window functions, CTEs, and pivots using JavaScript/SQL stored procedures and UDFs.
  • Manage Warehouses: Manage multi-cluster warehouses and implement resource monitors for cost control.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Experience: 3-6 years of experience in Snowflake development.
  • Technical Skills: Strong Snowflake SQL and basic JavaScript skills, working knowledge of Tasks, Streams, Stages, File Formats, Time Travel.
  • dbt Core Concepts: Experience with dbt core concepts (models, sources, tests, snapshots).
  • Data Architecture: Understanding of warehouse sizing, auto-suspend/resume, and query optimization.
  • Security and Governance: Familiarity with RBAC, data types, and semi-structured data (JSON/XML).
