Cloud Data Engineer

A cloud data engineer plays a pivotal role in designing, implementing and managing large-scale data storage solutions using Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake Storage, and Azure Blob Storage.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design and implement scalable, high-performing, and cost-effective data storage systems.
  2. Utilize Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake Storage, and Azure Blob Storage to store and manage massive datasets.
  3. Develop and manage ETL processes using Azure Data Factory for efficient data cleaning, transformation, and loading into Data Lakes.
  4. Ensure efficient data cleaning and transformation processes for data loading into Data Lakes.
  5. Utilize big data technologies like Azure Databricks and Apache Spark for data processing and analytics.
  6. Create data processing workflows and pipelines to support data analytics and machine learning applications.
  7. Design, construct, and maintain data pipelines to combine large, complex datasets that meet business requirements.
  8. Implement effective metrics and monitoring processes to ensure data quality and system performance.
  9. Identify and implement internal process improvements, such as automating manual processes and optimizing data delivery.
  10. Work with stakeholders to address data-related technical issues and support data-driven decision-making.
  11. Collaborate with data and analytics experts to enhance data system functionality.
  12. Collaborate with data scientists to create datasets for various use cases.
  13. Implement data annotations and curation techniques to enhance data readiness for ML Applications.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in designing and implementing data storage solutions.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of data storage concepts, data warehousing, and data analytics. Proficient in programming languages such as Python, Java, and C#. Familiarity with Azure services and tools.
