Job Overview

At TE Connectivity, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior FEA Analyst to join our R&D/Product Development Engineering Teams. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conceiving original ideas for new products, introducing them into practice, and developing innovative solutions to complex problems.

Responsibilities
  • Validate concept designs using simulation techniques and determine design robustness, critical to function requirements.
  • Deploy FEA techniques, including implicit and explicit approaches, using software tools like Ansys Workbench, LS-Dyna, Hypermesh, and Simufact.
  • Translate actual problems into Finite Element Analysis (FEA) models, interpret analysis results, and select the best solution, including linear and non-linear analysis under different physics.
  • Monitor and evaluate simulation software capabilities and industry trends.
  • Deploy standardized processes and work methodologies.
  • Train and develop the capability of the team to be a multi-skilled resource pool.
  • Benchmark and implement productivity improvement methods.
  • Track and monitor metrics for sustained performance, covering quality and delivery.
  • Collaborate with design and validation teams to enhance design optimization.
Desired Candidate Profile
  • BE/B.Tech (Mechanical/Electrical)
  • M.Tech (Mechanical/Electrical) (preferred)
  • Knowledge of product design processes and methodology.
  • Expertise on CAE tools, optimization techniques, and testing methods.
  • Understanding of LEAN/6 Sigma/Kaizen techniques.
  • Proficiency in state-of-the-art FEA tools, such as Ansys Workbench, LS-Dyna, Hypermesh, and Simufact, as well as CAD tools like PTC Creo and Space Claim.
  • Programming language skills, including Python, Microsoft VB-script, and Power BI.
  • Proficiency in use of MS Office tools.
  • Knowledge of associated manufacturing processes, including molding, stamping, plating, crimping, and assembly.
  • Experience with connector products (plastic and sheet metal parts) is an added advantage.
Critical Experience
  • 5-7 years of industry experience.
  • Expertise in Ansys Workbench.
  • Knowledge of material science (metals, resins, and hyperelastic materials) and implementation for simulation.
  • Correlation of test and simulation data/results.
