Backend Developer Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Backend Developer to join our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in creating and maintaining software solutions that power our broadcast technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain robust systems using Django and Python
  • Create modular and scalable applications for maintainability
  • Work on frontend components when required using Next.js and TypeScript
  • Collaborate with designers to integrate applications with graphics seamlessly
  • Develop and optimize database schemas and queries
  • Deploy and maintain applications on AWS infrastructure
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application issues promptly
  • Participate in code reviews and implement best practices
  • Write clean, well-documented code
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies and implement innovative solutions
Requirements:
  • 3-4 years of experience in full stack development with strong backend focus
  • Strong proficiency in Python and Django framework
  • Experience with frontend technologies, particularly Next.js and TypeScript
  • Knowledge of AWS services and cloud infrastructure
  • Experience with database systems (SQL and NoSQL)
  • Solid understanding of version control systems (Git)
  • Understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with PySide6 for desktop application development
  • Background in broadcast technology or media industry
  • Experience with real-time data processing
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
  • Academic background in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
