Software Quality Assurance Engineer

About the Role

The Software Quality Assurance Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks for web applications and APIs
  • Creating and executing comprehensive test strategies covering functional, integration, regression, and performance testing
  • Building robust test automation for complex features and business workflows
Key Responsibilities

The Software Quality Assurance Engineer will have the following key responsibilities:

  • Perform exploratory testing to identify edge cases and potential issues
  • Conduct thorough integration and regression testing
  • Execute performance and load testing to ensure scalability
  • Validate data accuracy and integrity through database testing
Collaboration & Process

The Software Quality Assurance Engineer will work closely with development teams to:

  • Ensure the testability of new features
  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testability
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipeline improvements and maintenance
Qualifications and Experience

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess:

  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field
  • 2-5 years of experience in software testing and test automation
Requirements

Candidates must have:

  • Strong expertise in SQL and database testing for data validation
  • Proficiency in test automation frameworks and tools: Web Automation - Playwright (preferred), Selenium, or similar; API Testing - REST Assured, Postman, or equivalent frameworks; Performance Testing - JMeter, Gatling, or similar tools
  • Experience with version control systems (Git)
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Github Actions, Jenkins, or similar)
  • Programming Languages: Proficiency in at least one programming language (JavaScript, Java, Python, or similar)
Nice to Have

Candidates with the following skills are highly desirable:

  • Knowledge of Identity and Access Management (IAM), Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), and Identity Governance & Administration (IGA) concepts
  • Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
