APIGEE Platform Engineer Role

This senior role involves planning, implementing and managing APIGEE Hybrid runtime deployment on Kubernetes clusters. As an expert in cloud architecture and infrastructure design, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless integration and governance across all environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and deploy APIGEE Hybrid runtime on Kubernetes clusters (GKE, AKS or on-prem) ensuring smooth integration and governance.
  • Install, upgrade, patch and maintain APIGEE environments to ensure high availability and performance.
  • Manage APIGEE runtime components including Message Processors, Synchronizers and Cassandra clusters within Kubernetes.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and application deployment using Terraform and Helm charts.
  • Develop automation scripts in Bash/Shell and Python to streamline deployment, monitoring and operational tasks.
  • Collaborate with API teams to support API proxy deployments, troubleshoot runtime issues and optimize platform performance.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines for APIGEE platform deployments and API lifecycle management.
  • Monitor platform health, capacity planning and troubleshoot runtime and infrastructure issues.
Requirements:
  • Strong experience with APIGEE Hybrid platform deployment and runtime management.
  • Hands-on experience managing Kubernetes clusters (GKE, AKS or on-prem) and deploying containerized applications using Helm charts.
  • Extensive experience with Terraform for provisioning cloud and Kubernetes resources.
  • Strong skills in Bash/Shell scripting and Python for automation and operational tasks.
  • Solid understanding of Google Cloud Platform services (Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Storage, IAM).
