Job Title: Quality Assurance Automation Engineer

We are seeking an experienced QA Automation Engineer to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for building reliable automation tests for our applications, ensuring smooth integration with our AWS-based infrastructure and GitHub CI/CD pipelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • UI Automation Tests: Design, develop, and maintain UI automation tests for React (web) and React Native (mobile) applications using tools like Selenium or Cypress.
  • API Automation Tests: Write and maintain API automation tests for NestJS/Node.js backend services using Postman and scripting frameworks.
  • Test Strategies: Collaborate with developers to define test strategies and ensure automation coverage across frontend, backend, and mobile applications.
  • Investigate Test Failures: Investigate test failures, analyze logs, and provide detailed defect reports.
  • Framework Improvement: Continuously improve automation frameworks for scalability and maintainability.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience: 1–2 years of hands-on experience in QA automation.
  • JavaScript/TypeScript: Strong knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript for test scripting.
  • UI Automation Tools: Experience with UI automation tools (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or Detox for React Native).
  • API Testing: Proficiency in API testing and automation using Postman/Newman or similar frameworks.
  • Software Testing Principles: Understanding of software testing principles, SDLC, and agile practices.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

  • Mobile Automation Frameworks: Experience with mobile automation frameworks (Appium, Detox).
  • Performance Testing Tools: Knowledge of performance testing tools (JMeter, Locust).
  • Containerization: Basic understanding of containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
