Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Mobile Engineer to join our development team at AgX. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the mobile application that helps farmers manage and monitor their herds efficiently.

  • You will collaborate with our product team, API engineers, and company founders to develop a mobile application that meets the requirements of our farming partners.
  • You will ideate, design, implement, and maintain the product's mobile app, including the front-end interfaces.
  • You will work closely with our product team and farming partners to understand their needs and build an app that meets those requirements.
  • You will maintain a high bar of engineering and coding standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop the user interface and experience for the mobile application.
  • Implement features and bug fixes in accordance with the product roadmap.
  • Collaborate with the product team to define and prioritize feature development.
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality code.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in building mobile apps using React Native.
  • Proficiency in the Typescript ecosystem, including monorepos.
  • Thorough understanding of interface guidelines for Apple and Android apps.
  • Experience submitting apps on the App Store and the Play Store.
  • Ability to debug and optimize complex systems.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Bonus Points

  • Familiarity with our mapping libraries in React Native or Native frameworks.
  • Understanding of the native iOS and Android ecosystems.
  • Good knowledge of UX best practices for SaaS based interfaces & AI.
  • Contributed to open-source projects.

Project Overview

  • You will build a mobile app that allows farmers to see their farm map with multiple layers and annotations.
  • You will integrate with APIs to let farmers view their livestock on the map.
  • Create virtual polygons to plot the region for their farms on the map.
  • Annotate the polygons with points of interest.
  • Generate heat maps of the farm livestock activity.
