In today’s fast-paced business environment, effective project planning and coordination are crucial for success. At CommScope, we are seeking a skilled Project Coordinator to join our team in Goa. This role will be responsible for participating in the material planning of projects in the R&D department, collaborating with cross-functional teams to execute project materials with the help of the established supply chain with buyer support.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supply chain management, with experience in material planning, inventory management, and project coordination. They will be responsible for balancing competing objectives to improve processes, material LT, cost reduction, and working capital optimization. Additionally, they will analyze and maintain inventory levels as per usage history of the material, partner with engineering/sales project managers and PLM to support speed-to-market initiatives for NPI activities, and lead excess and obsolete (E&O) inventory management activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in project planning and coordination to ensure successful project implementation and production.
  • Build, maintain, and communicate long lead parts requirements and stocking plans to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, mechanical engineers, radio frequency engineers, buyers, process engineers, and global and local cross-functional operations teams, suppliers, product line managers, sales, procurement, and finance teams.
  • Analyze and maintain inventory levels as per usage history of the material.
  • Partner with engineering/sales project managers and PLM to support speed-to-market initiatives for NPI activities.
  • Lead excess and obsolete (E&O) inventory management activities.
  • Build reports related to forecast/inventory and operations relevant to current business requirements.
  • Take initiative in continuous improvement activities and process improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent with a minimum of 5+ years of relevant working experience.
  • Hands-on experience in SAP.
  • Experience in advanced Excel for crafting reports.
  • Day-to-day material scheduling experience is preferred.
  • Working experience in supplier and internal stakeholder collaboration.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Strong MS office skills.
