Senior Data Engineer (AWS)

A key player in our team is needed to design and implement data pipelines using AWS services, focusing on high-performance and scalability. The ideal candidate will be proficient in ETL processes using AWS Glue, EMR, and Lambda, with experience building and maintaining data lakes using S3 and Delta Lake.

The role requires strong analytical skills, including database solutions using Aurora, RDS, and DynamoDB, as well as expertise in serverless workflows using AWS Step Functions. Knowledge of Python/PySpark and SQL/PostgreSQL programming is a must, along with proficiency in big data technologies like Hadoop and Spark.

The successful candidate will ensure data quality, security, and compliance with industry standards, while collaborating with data scientists and analysts to support their data needs. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to optimize data architecture for performance and cost-efficiency are essential.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
  • Relevant years of experience as a Data Engineer, with at least 60% focusing on AWS
  • Strong proficiency in AWS data services: Glue, EMR, Lambda, Athena, Redshift, S3
  • Experience with data lake technologies, particularly Delta Lake
  • Expertise in database systems: Aurora, RDS, DynamoDB, PostgreSQL
  • Proficiency in Python and PySpark programming
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with PostgreSQL
