Senior Water Recovery Specialist

Role Summary:

The selected candidate will be responsible for overseeing the operation and maintenance of the Condensate Processing Unit (CPU) to ensure efficient water recovery. This includes monitoring and optimizing the performance of the CPU, ensuring compliance with regulatory norms and company standards for condensate treatment, and analyzing operational data to implement process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Condensate Processing Unit (CPU) Management: Manage the daily operation of the CPU to ensure efficient water recovery.
• Water Treatment Plant (WTP) Operations: Supervise the daily operation of the WTP to ensure adequate water supply for the distillery.
• Environmental Management & Compliance: Implement and monitor environmental management systems in line with state and national pollution control regulations.
• Effluent Treatment & Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD): Oversee the Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) operations, ensuring proper treatment of industrial effluents.
• Team Management & Safety Compliance: Lead and train operational teams in best practices for CPU, WTP, ETP, STP, and Environmental Management.

Requirements:

• B.E./B.Tech in Chemical Engineering / Environmental Engineering / Mechanical Engineering or M.Sc. in Environmental Science.
• 5-8 years of experience in water treatment, effluent treatment, and environmental management in a distillery / ethanol / beverage / FMCG / chemical industry.
• Technical Skills:
• Knowledge of Condensate Polishing Unit (CPU), Reverse Osmosis (RO), Ultra Filtration (UF), and Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP), Sewage Treatment Plant (STP).
• Familiarity with MPCB norms, CPCB guidelines, and ZLD systems.
• Experience in handling audits and regulatory compliance processes.
