Job Title: Logistics and Trade Specialist

This position plays a crucial role in overseeing the end-to-end logistics operations, ensuring seamless coordination between procurement, warehousing, and distribution teams. Key responsibilities include freight forwarding, EXIM management, import/export operations, customs clearance, and trade compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Freight Forwarding: Oversees logistics operations, coordinates with teams, handles day-to-day logistics tasks like shipment tracking, documentation, and vendor coordination.
  • EXIM Management: Oversees international trade operations, ensuring compliance with trade regulations, negotiating contracts, coordinating shipments, and managing relationships with suppliers and customs authorities.
  • Import/Export Operations: Manages end-to-end import/export operations, including coordination with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and carriers.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Maintains proper documentation, tracks goods, identifies opportunities to reduce taxes and duties, and optimizes logistics to ensure efficient, timely deliveries while mitigating risks in global trade.
  • Identifies cost-saving opportunities and optimizes shipping methods.
  • Performs risk assessments and enacts contingency plans.
  • Keeps updated on changes in international trade regulations and adapts procedures accordingly.
  • Monitors and manages customs duties and tariff exposures; implements duty mitigation strategies.
  • Coordinates with CHA and shipping lines.
  • Handles import documentation and ensures timely clearance and compliance with DGFT and customs.
  • Ensures adherence to customs regulations and trade laws.
