Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Kubernetes specialist to oversee the design, deployment and maintenance of Kubernetes clusters within Amazon EKS.

Key responsibilities include designing, deploying and managing clusters on Amazon EKS, configuring and optimizing worker nodes, networking and storage, monitoring cluster health and capacity, setting up monitoring tools to track cluster performance, analyzing metrics related to resource utilization, pod health and scaling, creating and managing Kubernetes services, ensuring service discovery and load balancing for microservices, deploying and managing pods using YAML manifests, handling rolling updates, scaling and rollbacks, implementing deployment strategies, setting up network policies, ingress controllers and DNS resolution, integrating with AWS networking services, investigating and resolving issues related to pods, nodes and networking, debugging application failures and performance bottlenecks, defining RBAC rules for users and service accounts, ensuring secure access to cluster resources, configuring and managing persistent storage for stateful applications, creating and managing ConfigMaps for configuration data and securely managing secrets using Kubernetes Secrets.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience in Kubernetes administration, specifically within Amazon EKS
  • Proficiency in managing Kubernetes clusters, including pod deployment, networking and troubleshooting
  • Familiarity with Amazon EKS services, worker nodes and integration with other AWS components
  • Experience with infrastructure as code (IAC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
  • Awareness of Kubernetes security controls and RBAC
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
