Job Title: Senior Data Infrastructure Specialist

At our company, we strive to build the best data infrastructure for a more efficient and scalable business. A key component of this strategy is the development of optimized data pipelines that enable seamless data extraction, transformation, and loading from various sources.

We are looking for an experienced senior data infrastructure specialist to join our team in designing and implementing cutting-edge solutions for our complex data needs.

  • Create and maintain robust data pipeline architectures using state-of-the-art technologies to ensure efficient data extraction, transformation, and loading from multiple sources.
  • Design and implement process improvements to automate manual processes, optimize data delivery, and redesign infrastructure for greater scalability.
  • Develop infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data using advanced SQL and big data technologies.
  • Build innovative tools for analytics and data science teams to assist them in building and optimizing products into industry leaders.

Mandatory qualifications include:

  • Proficiency in either Python or Scala with expertise in Spark and experience with performance tuning and optimization.
  • Hands-on experience with DBT (Data Build Tool) for data transformations and data modeling.
  • Experience with big data tools such as HDFS/S3, Spark/Flink, Hive, Hbase, Kafka/Kinesis, etc.
  • Experience with relational SQL and NoSQL databases including Elasticsearch and Cassandra/Mongodb.
  • Experience with data pipeline and workflow management tools like Azkaban, Luigi, Airflow, etc.

Requirements for Success:

  • At least 4+ years of experience in a senior data infrastructure role.
  • Strong analytical skills related to working with structured/unstructured datasets.
  • Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.

Preferred qualities:

  • Working knowledge of message queuing, stream processing, and highly scalable big data stores.
  • Experience with object-oriented/object function scripting languages like Java, Scala, etc.
  • A portfolio of projects demonstrating technical expertise and innovation.
  • Contributions to open-source projects.
