Job Title:

We seek a skilled Production Chemist to join our team.

About the Role:

  1. Batch Execution and Preparation: Assist in preparing and executing chemical production batches according to standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure accurate and consistent product quality.
  2. PYROPHORIC REAGENT HANDLING: Safely manage pyrophoric reagents, Raney nickel, and operate pressure reactors (autoclave) in line with company policies.
  3. Filtration Techniques: Perform the filtration of low-melting solids and ensure optimal filtration techniques are applied.
  4. Issue Reporting and Troubleshooting: Report any deviations from specifications and work with the senior chemist to troubleshoot and rectify issues.
  5. Production Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate records of production activities, including batch records, test results, and any deviations from standard procedures.
  6. Reporting and Communication: Generate reports and summaries as required by the production and quality control teams.
  7. Safety Protocols: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure working environment.
  8. Safety Hazard Identification: Identify and report any safety hazards or concerns promptly.
  9. Equipment Operation: Operate production equipment such as reactors, mixers, and filters.
  10. Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure functionality.
  11. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, quality control, and research and development.
  12. Communication and Teamwork: Communicate effectively with team members to ensure a smooth production process.
  13. Process Improvement: Actively participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and product quality.
  14. Workflow Optimization: Propose ideas for optimizing production workflows.

Requirements:

  1. A bachelor's or master's degree in chemistry from a reputable university is required.
  2. Up to 5+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical production sector.
  3. Strong willingness to learn, adapt, and work effectively as part of a team.
  4. A desire to gain experience in leading and contributing to production.
  1. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex scientific concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  2. Strong problem-solving abilities and a creative mindset to drive innovation and overcome scientific challenges.

Working Conditions:

The employee must meticulously monitor production processes, observing any deviations in chemical reactions or equipment performance. This requires strong visual acuity, fine motor skills, and the ability to sustain focus for extended periods. The employee should also possess physical endurance to stand or move across the production floor for prolonged durations, handling machinery and monitoring production activities.
