Job Summary:

  • Plan and schedule maintenance activities to ensure optimal equipment performance.
Responsibilities

The Maintenance Planner is responsible for planning and scheduling preventive and corrective maintenance activities. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and maintaining job plans, work packs, and task lists in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Collaborating with operations, maintenance, and reliability teams to ensure accurate job scope definition, resource identification, and material availability.
  • Monitoring work order backlog and prioritizing tasks based on criticality, equipment availability, and production needs.
  • Ensuring all planned jobs are aligned with safety standards and company policies.
  • Tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) related to maintenance planning such as schedule compliance, PM completion rates, and backlog trends.
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives by identifying and eliminating planning inefficiencies and equipment downtime.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, or related Engineering discipline.
  • 1 to 5 years of relevant experience in maintenance planning in oil & gas, refining, petrochemical, manufacturing, or similar heavy industries.
  • Strong working knowledge of SAP PM or other CMMS platforms.
  • Understanding of preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.
  • Good knowledge of maintenance work processes and job execution practices.
  • Familiarity with industry standards related to maintenance planning.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Good communication skills to work effectively in a cross-functional, multicultural team.
