Key Finance Roles

The role of a senior financial executive is to manage and oversee the overall financial strategy, operations, and compliance of an organization. This includes preparing and maintaining accurate and timely financial statements, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, managing cash flow, and overseeing investments.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies and procedures in accordance with US and India GAAP and local regulations.
  • Oversee daily tasks of accounting staff, including preparation of financial reports, maintenance of records, and timely closure of audits.
  • Ensure compliance with periodic filings required by regulatory authorities in India and US.
  • Support executive team in assessing financial impact of new initiatives.
  • Calculate commissions for employees on variable payroll and submit reports.
  • Assist sales and customer service teams in completing vendor forms and ensuring compliance.

Accounting Expertise:

  • Analytical skills to interpret financial results and manage risk.
  • Leadership skills to motivate and guide accounting staff.
  • Communication skills to ensure effective communication with stakeholders.
  • Technical skills to maintain and update accounting systems and software.

Compliance and Regulatory Knowledge:

  • US and India GAAP knowledge and expertise.
  • Knowledge of tax laws and regulations in both countries.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and filing procedures.

Financial Analysis and Process Set Up:

  • Support executive team in developing financial models and forecasts.
  • Assist in setting up financial reporting processes and systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop business strategies.

People Management:

  • Manage a team of accounting professionals and guide them in controllership functions.
  • Responsible for timely and accurate reporting of revenue activities for the Group.
  • Hire and set up high-performing AR/AP team and credit management support.
