Data Engineer Role

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our team and contribute to the design, building, and maintenance of large-scale data engineering capabilities across diverse big-data environments.

Main Responsibilities
  • Data Pipeline Design: Design and implement scalable data pipelines using enterprise-grade ETL tools to ensure efficient data processing and analysis.
  • Cloud-Based Architecture: Develop and maintain cloud-based data architectures on Microsoft Azure, leveraging its scalability and reliability features.
  • Collaboration and Solutions: Collaborate with data scientists and business intelligence professionals to create solutions that drive business insights and inform strategic decision-making.
  • Quality and Governance: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure data quality, integrity, and governance, adhering to industry standards and best practices.
Necessary Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience: 3-8 years of experience in data engineering or a related field, with a strong understanding of data architecture, database design, and programming languages.
  • Technical Expertise: Hands-on expertise in data architecture, database design, SQL, stored procedures, Python programming, No-SQL databases, columnar databases, and database query optimization.
  • Data Management: Experience with organizing high-velocity, volume, variety, veracity, and value (the "Five V's") data across cold, warm, and hot storage.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Bachelor's Degree and Relevant Experience
  • Degree: Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
  • Relevant Experience: 6+ years' experience in critical job functions of the team, which can be a combination of internal and external experience.
