Job Overview:

We are seeking a diligent and organized Accounting Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting activities, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Data Management: Handle daily accounting entries including journal vouchers, payment/receipt entries, and reconciliations.
  • Accounting Record Keeping: Prepare and maintain books of accounts as per accounting standards and company policies.
  • Reconciliation and Analysis: Reconcile client ledgers, broker accounts, bank statements, and depository records (NSDL/CDSL).
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Assist in preparation of financial statements, P&L, and balance sheet.
  • Compliance and Governance: Manage GST, TDS, and other statutory compliances relevant to the broking industry.
  • Audit Support: Support in audits (statutory, internal, and regulatory audits by SEBI/Exchanges).
  • Team Collaboration: Coordinate with operations and compliance teams for accounting-related queries.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain proper documentation and records for reporting and audit purposes.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: CA intern /CA / Graduate/Post Graduate in Commerce, Finance, or Accounting.
  • Experience: 2+ years of accounting experience (preferably in a stock broking / financial services company).
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of accounting principles, taxation, and regulatory guidelines (SEBI, Exchanges), finalization of accounts GST filling etc. Hands-on experience with accounting software (e.g., Tally, ERP, or broker-specific back-office software). Proficiency in MS Excel and basic data analysis.
  • Personal Qualities: Attention to detail, good communication skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
