The Public Health Foundation of India is working towards building a healthier nation. Our team is helping to address the limited institutional and systems capacity in the country by strengthening education and training, advancing research and technology, and facilitating policy and practice in the area of Public Health.

Project Overview

The Grant supports the advancement of the technical mandate of the organization. This includes work that is being undertaken by the different divisions within the organization – technical, operational. The work will also include developing collaborations and engaging with a variety of stakeholders within and beyond the Organization. This will also be a role in supporting select external facing activities of the Organization.

Responsibilities:
  • Technical tasks related to the project, including proposal and project development, stakeholder engagement and collaboration, technical documentation and knowledge management, programmatic support, and other project-related duties.
  • Proposal and Project Development: Conceptualize, draft, and finalize detailed project proposals and implementation plans focused on strengthening health systems, incorporating evidence-based practices, defined outcomes, timelines, and resource requirements in alignment with national health priorities and donor frameworks.
  • Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration: Establish and maintain effective working relationships with government agencies, development partners, academic institutions, and other relevant stakeholders to facilitate data-sharing, resource mobilization, and technical collaboration for health systems strengthening initiatives at national and sub-national levels.
  • Technical Documentation and Knowledge Management: Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including white papers, technical briefs, situation analyses, project progress reports, and policy recommendations.
  • Programmatic Support and Other Duties: Provide technical and operational support as directed by the supervisor, travel as required, and perform any other task assigned by the Supervisor.

Key Qualifications

Master of Public Health or equivalent public health degree required. 4-7 years of experience in public health essential. Desirable Experience of report writing, data analysis, documentation.

Required Skills: Scientific writing, documentation, liaisoning and networking with different stakeholders within the health system, public and private.
