We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to join our team at Nielsen, a global leader in measurement and analytics. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in developing innovative methodologies and solutions to drive business growth and client success.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and test streaming-based measurement solutions.
  • Develop and present new methodologies to internal stakeholders and clients, showcasing your expertise in data analysis and visualization.
  • Gain a deep understanding of our Audience Measurement products and methodologies, with a focus on streaming measurement globally.
  • Design research plans, manage and analyze complex panel data, and develop data pipelines to drive insights and recommendations.
  • Provide thought leadership on solution transferability across countries to meet diverse business and client needs.
  • Balance cost, quality, and schedule requirements to design solutions that meet client needs.
Requirements:
  • Master's Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in data manipulation, analysis, and visualization, with expertise in Python and SQL.
  • Strong programming skills, with experience in tools like Tableau and Power BI.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to summarize and document results.
  • 7+ years of project management experience, with the ability to prioritize multiple assignments and work under pressure.
  • Collaborative team player with a willingness to work with global cross-functional teams.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Understanding of advertising technologies and domain expertise in audience measurement.
  • Experience working in cloud-based environments, such as AWS.
  • Knowledge of sampling, variance estimation, bias reduction techniques, imputation, and weighting.
