Job Title: DevOps Observability Specialist

We are seeking a skilled professional to design and build observability solutions using OpenTelemetry (metrics, logs, traces) as part of our growing team.

  • The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience in the IT industry and possess strong programming skills in Python, Shell, Groovy, YAML.
  • They should also have hands-on experience with Kubernetes, AWS, Splunk, Ansible, Terraform, and be familiar with storage systems like NetApp, VMAX, Pure, PMAX.
  • A strong exposure to monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, AppDynamics, Dynatrace, Datadog, ELK is required.
  • The selected candidate will work in an Agile/Scrum/SAFe environment and drive DevOps maturity assessments, adoption strategies, and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement observability pipelines using OpenTelemetry.
  • Develop custom collectors, exporters, and automation tools using Python.
  • Implement dashboards & visualizations in Grafana and optimize logging in Splunk.
  • Manage event streaming pipelines with Kafka.
  • Deploy and monitor observability components in Kubernetes.
  • Build & optimize CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub, Argo CD).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of databases including Postgres, MySQL, InfluxDB, Prometheus, RDS, NoSQL.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud.
  • Experience working with version control systems like Git, SVN.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
