Design Engineer Opportunity

This role offers hands-on experience with cutting-edge engineering projects in the offshore, marine, and mechanical design industries. You will collaborate with industry experts, tackle complex engineering challenges, and enhance your technical expertise in a dynamic, innovation-driven environment.

You will work closely with an engineering team of specialists who create innovative solutions for mechanical equipment in the Offshore Wind market. Your primary responsibility will be to develop 3D models and 2D drawings using Solid Edge and AutoCAD software.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop all 3D models and 2D drawings of designs using Solid Edge and AutoCAD software.
  • Prepare report figures and detailed drawings as directed by the engineering team.
  • Perform design changes and improvements in a timely manner according to project change demands.
  • Estimate, plan, and coordinate marine operation projects.
  • Coordinate with engineers to align on deliverable timelines and schedules.
  • Perform quality control checks on own work to ensure accuracy and precision.
  • Inform and manage the engineering team about project progress and planning.
  • Participate in scheduled project review sessions and meetings with representatives from other engineering disciplines and customers on technical issues.

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in design projects in the marine/offshore/mechanical/civil steel structural industry.
  • A bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, Offshore Engineering, Naval Architecture, or comparable field.
  • Expert-level knowledge in CAD software Solid Edge and AutoCAD.
  • Ability to understand engineering drawings and convert 2D drawings to 3D models and vice versa with ease.
  • Highly organized self-starter able to prioritize work to meet changing timelines.
  • Ability to maintain document control and adhere to quality standards.
  • Experience in performing hand calculations and results interpretation.
  • Collaborate efficiently with team members to achieve project goals.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written).
