We are seeking an experienced Linux Kernel Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for backporting various features from the Linux vanilla kernel to leading Linux distributions.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Backporting features from the Linux vanilla kernel to leading Linux distributions
  • Troubleshooting and fixing customer issues
  • Identifying and automating various workloads
  • Improving the overall process

Technical Skills Required:

  1. Excellent programming skills in C
  2. Strong understanding of Unix/Linux OS concepts, including schedulers, memory management, device drivers, networking, system calls, locking mechanisms (mutex/semaphore/spinlock), and performance tools development
  3. Experience in developing Linux/Unix OS subsystems, such as schedulers, drivers, RAS, security, networking drivers, kernel performance optimization, and system tools
  4. Experience in KVM/QEMU virtualization development

  • Experience in code upstreaming and open-sourcing
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-managed with ability to learn and adapt
  • Eager to take on new challenging work
