What you will do

As a skilled data engineer, you will be a key member of our team working on tasks ranging from designing and developing data warehouses to data platform functions. We foster close collaboration using Agile development methodology.

The day-to-day

  • 5-8 years of experience in Python programming.
  • A proven track record of 5+ years as a data engineer or working on data engineering projects/platforms.
  • Experience with data pipelines & methodologies, SQL, and various databases like PostgreSQL.
  • Good knowledge of distributed computing frameworks such as Spark.
  • Experience with source code management systems like GIT.
  • Capable of tuning databases and SQL queries for optimal performance.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or equivalent technical background and experience.
  • Embracing DevOps principles, you will provide operational support for post-production deployment in addition to design and development activities.

Requirements

  • Experience: 5+ years.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree.
  • Travel requirement: Up to 10%.

On the job support

  • Experience with cloud providers like AWS, containerization, and Kubernetes is preferred.
  • Working experience with data warehouses and ETL tools.
  • Capable of debugging complex issues across ETL platforms and databases.
  • Experience with DevOps and tools like Jenkins and Ansible is advantageous.
  • Small to mid-sized software development project experience, especially with Agile Scrum.
  • Understanding of routing, switching, and network communication protocols.
