We are seeking a seasoned Sales and Brand Strategy expert to drive our growth across national and international platforms.

About the Role

This leadership position combines sales acumen with brand custodianship, requiring a strategic thinker who can implement ideas effectively. You will collaborate closely with the founder to develop and execute sales, outreach, and brand building initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sales and Partnerships:
    • Identify and engage potential clients, institutions, and buyers through targeted outreach and personalized strategies.
    • Cultivate relationships with industry professionals; lead meaningful conversations and design immersive experiences or events for engagement.
    • Research galleries aligned with our values; initiate outreach and placement efforts.
    • Explore acquisition opportunities and establish connections with relevant departments and curators.
    • Evaluate curated sales platforms, online marketplaces, and luxury retail partnerships.
    • Manage collaboration requests; assess alignment and negotiate contracts and communications.
    • Nurture relationships with potential clients, collectors, curators, and collaborators; represent our brand across various platforms.
  • Brand Strategy and Custodianship:
    • Ensure the brand strategy is translated consistently across all touchpoints, collaborating with external consultants as needed.
    • Work with the founder and creative team to select exhibitions, awards, and fairs that align with our brand narrative and growth vision.
    • Position Nolwa in unique, prestigious contexts – forging a path in luxury without clichés.
    • Collaborate with the visual designer and content team to create compelling narratives across digital channels – focusing on product storytelling, process, and brand philosophy.
    • Align messaging with PR consultants and communications partners to elevate our presence in the design and art worlds.
Requirements
  • 5–7 years of experience in sales, partnerships, business development, or brand strategy — ideally in design, art, fashion, or luxury.
  • Design/Art Gallery background would be an added advantage.
  • Deep appreciation for collectible design, craftsmanship, and the intersection of culture and commerce.
  • Strong global awareness of galleries, fairs, and institutions; existing networks in the design/art world are a plus.
  • Proven ability to build and nurture high-value relationships with clients, collaborators, and stakeholders.
  • Creative thinker with an eye for storytelling, strategy, and detail.
  • Confident communicator and brand representative – both online and in person.
  • Independent, proactive, and excited to grow alongside a small, passionate team.
